The Primordial Rigden embodies the magical heart of Shambhala – the brilliant and peaceful presence of basic goodness and enlightened rulership. It is the central image in the Shambhala refuge tree.

The original Primordial Rigden thangka was a collaborative effort between Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and thangka painter, Cynthia Moku.

Cynthia and master printer, Ira Bartell, managed the reproduction process closely over a period of several months. Using only the finest paper available, permanent inks, and the highest quality printing techniques, the prints themselves are among the best in fine art prints.

Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche has signed a limited number of prints in each of the three sizes.  The medium size prints were printed by Atelier 28 on 300 gram hand-torn Zerkall paper. The large and very large size prints were printed by Cologne 's MegaLab, on 287 gram Hahnemuhle paper.

These first edition fine art prints are practice objects and particularly intended for shrine rooms.
